Meet Pen

Pen came to us after being surrendered multiple times for what some politely called her “bad cattitude.” Overfed and a little too quick with her claws, she wasn’t the easiest housemate at first. But with time, Pen slimmed down, mellowed out, and grew into a content senior whose favourite pastime is snoozing the days away. On June 16, she proudly celebrated her 20th birthday.

From one of her many beds, Pen keeps quiet counsel over her domain, surveying the world with calm detachment and the wisdom that only age can bring. She’s a queen in every sense — serene, self-assured, and convinced that confidence, comfort, and a good nap can solve just about anything.

These days she may look a little scrawnier and have only a few teeth left, but don’t be fooled — Pen knows exactly what she likes. And if she doesn’t, well… being delightfully bossy has always been her trademark.
